Weight watchers
The nomadiQ is proven to be the lightest and most compact gas grill on the market. Using mostly aluminum die-casted parts, we were able to make the nomadiQ BBQ with a total weight of only 5.6kg (12.3lb), making it easy for anyone to carry. The grill comes with a comfortable carrying strap that allows you to conveniently tote it with you anywhere you go, whether it is by car, bike, train, boat, or even skateboard. We challenge you to find a gas grill that is lighter and more portable.
Unlike most portable grills, the nomadiQ is unique with two independent grilling surfaces. Each grilling side can be controlled individually by the knobs positioned on the side. This feature is ideal for foods that require different cooking temperatures, or for simply keeping food warm.
Additionally, switching one side off is always an option. A nice option to have if you are running low on fuel or only cooking a simple meal for one.
Advantages of dual temperature management.
The biggest advantage of managing two grilling sides separately is that it allows you to prepare different kinds of food. Ideally steaks require searing on high temperatures (around 300°C- 550°F). While you want your chicken breast, potatoes or squash to grill at a lower temperature to make sure it’s cooked thoroughly. Most thinner fillets of fish only need a medium temperature to avoid that the skin burns to fast.
Keep it safe!
Nobody wants to spent their camping adventure in their tent, RV or mobile home with food poisoning. So always follow the food safety guidelines and stay Healthy!
The nomadiQ BBQ can be connected to a standard portable gas supply. A common propane fuel tank is Coleman’s or Bernzomatic 1lb. cylinder, which will last approx. 3 hours! This type of canister is lightweight, cheap and available at these hardware or outdoor stores.
With a ceramic coating, the non-stick grates ensure that your food is evenly cooked and easy to clean. They are rust-resistant and can easily be removed for quick cleaning. The shells of the grill can also be wiped down for a fast take-down, so that you can continue your adventures. Make sure you let the BBQ cool down before you disassemble.
Check this tutorial with advice how to clean the nomadiQ.
Be careful when you use any sharp or metal utensils on the grates or the grill itself. They will damage the non-stick coating. Treat them the same as your non-stick cookware and use nylon, wood or silicone utensils. Make sure you always season the grates with some vegetable oil before grilling. This will improve the anti-stick performance and durability of the grates. Check our FAQ for more tips and tricks.
The same guidelines should be followed for the grill plate.
Grilling is one of the healthiest ways to prepare food. The strong, direct heat source ensures that your food is ready in no time. As long as you make sure that you don’t burn your food. Nobody likes the burnt flavour or crunchy charcoal texture. Besides that, burnt food is NOT ideally healthy.
But the nomadiQ grill comes with 2 grilling sides which can be controlled individually by the regulator knobs positioned on the side. This feature is ideal for foods that require different cooking temperatures, or for keeping food warm. Additionally, switching one side off is always an option. So less change to burn you food and keep it warm until the salad is served and everybody is ready.

The base of the nomadiQ cleverly doubles as a locking mechanism. While resting the grill on a flat surface, rotate the foot clockwise from the side to open the base and unlock the grill from the base. Place the included drip trays under the grill by aligning them with the notches on either side of the base of the grill. Pull the side knobs outward and twist to unlock the grill from both sides before unfolding.
UNFOLD & CONNECT
Pull up and out to unfold the grill and reveal its deceptively large grilling surface. Attach the included “Y” connector (gas regulator) to the individual gas ports. Use both sides or just one.
